Based in Manchester England, the Rockola Group's origins go back to the mid 70s when the company was founded by successful UK footwear and fashion veteran Leo Armstrong. It quickly gained an enviable reputation as major importers and wholesalers of the premium US sports brands and to supplement the product offering, in the 1980s, the Group also began to design and develop its own branded casual footwear ranges which it produced in Spain and Portugal. In early 2004 the decision was taken to begin a move out of the wholesale import sector, which had become increasingly competitive, and to concentrate the Group's efforts on the marketing and distribution of fashion brands. From the beginning of its involvement with Fender, Rockola set out to design and develop a European footwear collection that would have all of the attributes of the iconic guitars themselves: desirable, yet affordable, well-made classics that use only the best quality materials. In short, footwear that would be worthy of carrying the iconic Fender name. Each design we produce must be approved by Fender in Phoenix, Arizona and thus is your guarantee of quality and value.
